Tub Tea Anyone?

From increased immunity to greater anti-inflammatory and higher antioxidant properties, you already know that drinking tea can be good for you. But while you're used to putting it in your cup, some devo-teas (catch that?) are dropping tea in the bath. Check out what makes bath tea so blissfully therapeutic… and our plans to release a range of tub teas in the lead up to Christmas.

Bath teas are a new wellness trend that people are experimenting with. What are tub teas? They are exactly what they sound like.  Large tea pouches filled with organic tea, herbs, flowers and Epsom salt that are added to warm bath water.

Aromatherapy lovers know herbs like lavender, chamomile, jasmine and eucalyptus truly can fill the senses to calm the body and mind. While the health benefits of tea have been widely discussed here, put simply, our skin is our largest organ and to soak the body in relaxing ingredients coupled with a high-grade organic tea makes sense to us. Why not use our skin as the delivery system for all of the goodness found in organic tea?

We plan to use eco-friendly pouches as the filter. Our tub teas will be filled with powerful wellness ingredients - think powerful organic tea, flower petals, herbs, citrus peel, cinnamon and essential oils… you get the idea. Oh and they will be reusable and with drawstring ties so you can add ingredients and soak until your heart is content.

We are developing 4 tranquil tub teas to start with:

• CALM will be a comforting blend of relaxing botanicals to help relax and settle your mind, while also cleansing and nourishing your skin.
• CLEANSE will be designed to detoxify and of course cleanse your body in a luxurious way. Think rose petals to help moisturise and calm your skin. This tub tea will leave you and your skin feeling clean and reinvigorated.
• SLEEP will be a rose and lavender flower infusion to improve hydration and aid with muscle relaxation. This restorative tub tea will help to deliver minerals to your skin, ease tension and support a deep and relaxed sleep.
• GLOW will be an indulgent tub tea utilising the natural exfoliating properties of lactose to gently cleanse and exfoliate dull skin to reveal glowing, soft skin, while mineral salts help to relax and unfurl tight muscles in the body and mind.
